Example of paper robot

This open source project provides an easy to build and easy to setup paper robot for the Calliope Mini board. It includes basic examples how to use the Calliope Mini, details on using additional hardware and advanced examples to program the robot with the Open Roberta Lab.

The content is separated in three different main areas to cover different kind of skill levels from beginners to more advanced users.

โš™๏ธ Calliope Mini

This area covers the basic around the Calliope Mini and the built in sensors and actors. It's mandatory to understand the basics before moving to the other more advanced parts.

๐Ÿฆพ Hardware

This area covers any special or additional hardware for the Calliope Mini.

๐Ÿค– Paper Robot

This area covers the paper robot and how the different parts will work together. After following these steps you will have great foundation for most of the public available examples and projects for your Calliope Mini.

Using grove port for servos

Small idea for improving/simplifying the wiring: You can use the grove port A1 to connect two servos using the C16 and C17 pins. You can use a grove cable and male jumper cables to connect the servo or prepare cables by cutting a grove cable and soldering male headers for the servos. Alternatively you can use a semi-professional solution like this servo board by Martin Klein. It also powers the servos with 5 V instead of 3.3 V.

I just came across your paper robot and I love it! I built a similar one based on this ticklebot and I'd love to try it in one of my courses with kids.
