Can you, please, run: /usr/bin/dropbox in terminal and check its output? If you see something like this:

then your default python is python3: This PR will fix it. Until then open /usr/bin/dropbox and make a similar change. Make sure you have python2 installed.
If it's something else, post the output from /usr/bin/dropbox here, please.
