@jkrejcha Thanks for the additional info! That explains a few things.

Internally in Microsoft we're in the process of hardening a lot of attack surfaces. It seems to me that there's a rule somewhere getting hung up on the .. because it looks like someone's trying to do a directory traversal attack of some kind.

In particular, it looks like the sequence .. causes the error regularly.

A simple test case

Console.WriteLine("..");

results in No output (while inputting a single period doesn't cause an issue). Even just having it in a comment like so

// ..
Console.WriteLine("Hello world!");

leads to the same thing.
